Situação: 

Ao tentar abrir o sistema, a seguinte mensagem: An error occurred while attempting to initialize the Borland Database Engine (error $2A04).

Solução: 

Foi informado que havia alguns aplicativos do sistema presos no Gerenciador de Tarefas, sendo necessário realizar a liberação. Após isso, ao abrir o sistema novamente, ele passará a funcionar corretamente.
